Tu Abla Nahi, SABLA HAI!

For years, women have been victims of heinous crimes like rape, molestation, torture, female foeticide, dowry, abduction, sati, devdasi and this, has been no secret.
Not that there was no awareness, but there was no action!
It was reformers like Rajaram Mohan Roy, Pandit Ishwarchandra Vidya Sagar, Jyotirao Phule, Savitribai phule who took up the cause of a better society for women. Their constant and substancial efforts did reap success and that is evident today as we see women living a better life.
But again we see the evil demons harming and hurting the women.

Yes, in the 21st century, where its the competition and success that matters the most it is still a shame that we cannot have the same starting lines.
Towards the fall of 2012, we saw the fall of humanity! The entire nation was taken aghast by the "Delhi Gang Rape." It was an incident that blew up ander, grief and concern. And rightly, the victim was called, "NIRBHAYAA" by a prominent English daily.
This one was a wake up call! There were protests and discussions and rallies to express solidarity and demand justice. Once again the nation was on the roads filled with angst and anguish! The media too kept the story aflame to ensure that like many other such incidences that happen regularly, this one doesn't go unnoticed, forgotten.

BUT THERE WAS AND THERE STILL IS A NEED FOR ACTION!
Action that promises to bring change, avoid and tackle such crimes with increased awareness and intentional efforts!

As students, we participated in a peace rally, but there was a sense of need for more!

We started a campaign for the safety of women and named it NIRBHAYAA after the valiant soul!

But our society witnesses more heinous crimes and more women who become the soft targets and victims, unknown to us!

Being Nirbhayaa is just not enough!

We need a Jagruk Naari!

The image of women is often seen as an ABLA Naari, in the same country where people worship Maa Durga, Laxmi, Saraswati, Annapurna!

All the women reading this, and otherwise, WOMANHOOD IS A POWER IN ITSELF!

Thus,

JOIN US IN MAKING EVERY WOMAN REALIZE-

"Tu Abla Nahi, SABLA hai"

This is a campaign for encouraging Safety of Women by educating and training women for self defence!

Its time to Stop Thinking and Make a Move!!!

Its Time to Act!
